About Us

Meet Tim and Bev Hart

Tim grew up in various parts of the western and midwestern U.S. He attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and lived in that area for many years. In 2009, an economic downturn resulted in the loss of employment opportunities in his career field of healthcare IT. When a suitable position became available in Richmond, Virginia, Tim accepted the position and relocated. He became involved in a PCA church, and was soon led to serve as part of a launch team for a new church being planted in Richmond.

Bev (McCollum) grew up in Hopewell, Virginia, but had left the area soon after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1985. In 2012, she returned to Hopewell, after living in Pennsylvania for the previous 15 years. Bev continued working in the field of human services upon her return to Virginia.

Tim and Bev were introduced to each other by a family member (who had been attending the new church in Richmond!) in fall of 2016. They were married in 2017, and have since enjoyed serving together in their home church in Hopewell, Virginia. Altogether, the Harts have 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren, who live in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The Harts enjoy reading, writing, traveling, camping/hiking, music, puzzles, and enjoying the company of friends and family- especially over a meal!
